CENTRAL EXCISE
Standard ad valorem rate of Central Excise Duty on excisable goods
increased from 12% to 12.5% and Education Cess and Secondary and Higher Education Cess are subsumed in the said rate.
IN OTHER WORDS NO EDUCATION CESS WILL BE CHARGED SEPARATELY NOW. ONLY SINGLE RATE 12.5%
The above change in rate will come into effect immediately.
